  • Experience in designing Behavioural studies with the Nematode worm Caenorhabditis elegans.
  • Experience with bright field and confocal imaging and various molecular techniques.
    As a Teaching Assistant I have gained valuable experience lecturing to large classes as well as experience in dealing with academic administration.

Principal Investigator, Level 2 Field Research Technician

  • Oversaw numerous projects consisting of various field crops compliant to a study protocol.
  • Responsible for assisting with the field testing of various pesticide products, GMO’s and seed treatment products for various corporate sponsors.
  • Gained experience and training in Good Laboratory Practices to participate in GLP projects under both OECD and EPA standards.
  • Personally responsible for the maintenance of test sites and trial crops, application of maintenance pesticides and data recording during all aspects of the application process.
  • Involved in business development and planning, organization of operating schedules and overseeing of minor use trials.
  • Gained invaluable experience in working with heavy machinery including tractors, fork-lifts, seed drills, row planters, and various power tools.
  • Also, in working in an agricultural setting I learned how to make minor repairs to farm equipment and deal with the challenge of working with heavy equipment in unpredictable conditions.
